Applications are invited for the post of Senior Technical Officer that
is vacant at the Bulawayo Division of the Standards Association of
Zimbabwe within the Operations Department.
Main Responsibilities:
* Carrying out chemical, microbiological tests on a variety of
samples, manufactured goods and raw materials.
* Testing methods evaluations, appraisal and carrying out
inter-laboratory comparison tests.
* Assisting in the training of junior staff and/or students on attachment.
* Co-ordinate routine laboratory instrument calibrations and maintenance.
* Participate in standards development as a technical expert.
Job Specifications:
* A Degree in Applied Chemistry/ Biochemistry
* At least one year post qualification experience in laboratory
environment where material, chemical, microbiological and physical
testing were carried out.
* Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 laboratory management system will be an
added advantage
*Good communication skills
* A clean Class 4 Driver's licence is an added advantage.
