Vacancy: Treasury Dealer

Education

  • Degree in either Economics, Finance, Business Studies or related subjects.

Experience

  • Minimum 7 years’ experience of both trading FX and money markets

Job Purpose: 

  • Management of daily money desk operations and accounting for investment securities, wholesale liabilities, deal in currencies within the limits allotted by the bank and contribute to achieving set targets.
  • Principal Accountabilities (include but not limited to the following)
  • Target achievement
  • Generating profit and revenue through the execution of client orders as well as through the hedging of client positions; 
  • Contact banks and brokers daily to collect interest rates, and investing accordingly to maximize the return of the portfolio.
  • Treasury Deals
  • Improving efficiencies on the desk.
  • Quote foreign currency buying and selling rates to clients.
  • Ensure that trading desk is complete, on time and maintained while making sure that market and execution risk is dealt with according to policies. 
  • Servicing of Corporate Treasury sales pricing / structuring requirements and risk management of resultant positions.

Vacancy: Treasury Back Office Supervisor


Job Description:  

  • Treasury back office and administration.
  • Maintenance, administration and development of the Treasury Management System and other Treasury Solutions, to improve efficiency, maintain control, and enable better visibility of treasury transactions.
  • Settlement and confirmation processing and control, plus query resolution.
  • Ensure full segregation of treasury back office functions.
  • Oversee the input and processing of treasury transactions into the main accounting system.
  • Coordination of statutory accounts from a treasury perspective.

Experience & Skills

  • At least 5 years of experience in bank treasury back office operations.
  • Previous experience in a Microfinance environment will be an advantage.
  • In depth knowledge of treasury operations, financial market instruments, treasury systems as well as strong system and internet aptitude.
  • MS Office suite of application (Excel, Access,...).
  • Strong analytical, investigative and communication skills.
  • Flexible, resistant, team-player, proactive, results-oriented.

Main Tasks

  • Treasury Back-Office
  • Control bank fees/interest charges: monitoring and validation of bank fees and interest charges.
  • Responsible for maintaining the Treasury Department’s banking signatory model for all treasury related activities.
  • Responsible for the maintenance and monitoring of the treasury processes and procedures’ manual.
  • Responsible for the bank account management process i.e. opening, maintenance and closing of bank accounts.
  • Maintaining the Bank’s SSI’s details in the TMS and perform SWIFT/Telephone check confirmations.
  • Perform month-end reporting activities.
  • Communicating with counterparties and other functions in order to solve ad hoc problems relating to treasury transactions when required to.
  • Championing the treasury function’s audit process for both internal and external audits including liaisons on an audit follow-up points.
  • Responsible for year-end audit process of bank accounts.
  • Monitor compliance of all treasury activities relative to policies and market best practices.


Education:

  • Diploma or Degree in Business Studies, Banking or related subjects.
