Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates to fill the above position within our Engineering Department at Dairibord Malawi limited, a subsidiary of Dairibord Holdings.
Key Responsibilities:
To carry out preventive/breakdown maintenance of various PLC processing and packaging
machinery
Calibration and repair of various electronic and pneumatic control instrumentation to ISO standards
Carry out installation of new equipment as and when necessary
Supervising apprentices and handymen
The ideal candidate must possess the following:
Diploma in Instrumentation and Control
City and Guilds qualifications is an added advantage
Should have gone through 4 years of apprenticeship training
Must be conversant with PLCs, variable speed drives and pneumatics
Must be able to repair electronic boards to component level
At least 2 years post - apprentice experience in the food or related industry
Knowledge of ISO Standards, particularly calibration of monitoring and control devices
Must be physically fit and hard working
Must be mature, of sober habits and honest
Must be able to work under pressure, long hours with minimum supervision.
