Qualifications:
Degree/ Diploma in Accounting or Finance

Experience:
-At Least 3 Years' Finance Experience
-Knowledge of Pastel or Any Other Accounting Packages a must

Vacancy: Debtors Clerk



Job Summary
Maintaining accurate and up to date debtors’ ledgers

Description
-Invoicing
-Checking and verifying invoices with tear sheets for customers;
-Daily updates and reconciliation of Pastel and ITREK; and,
-Dispatching invoices/emailing invoices to customers on a daily basis
-Receipting
-Batch processing, i. e ITREK to Pastel;
-Capturing direct deposits from statements and allocating to Debtors; and,
-Daily banking, verification of all receipts to deposits.
-Processing of debtors’ transactions in the debtors’ ledgers including:
*Invoices
*receipts; and,
*duly authorised adjustments including credit notes.
-Debtors Reconciliations
-Advertising agency reconciliations;
-Individual debtors reconciliations, direct debtors with more than one advert;
-Reports
*Monthly Sales Team commissions calculations;
*Weekly debtors reports for management and the Sales Team; and,
*Sales Representatives requests for reprints of invoices and statements for customers.
-Filing and;
-Other tasks relating to the Finance function as assigned from time to time.

Skills / Attributes/Qualifications Required
-Must possess an accounting degree from a recognised university.
-Must be studying towards a relevant professional qualification e.g. CIMA, ACCA
-Able to demonstrate experience within Credit Control.
-Experience of providing Credit Control to organisations with a turnover in excess of US$1million per month.
-Computer literate with knowledge of Pastel (or similar).
-Excellent communication skills are essential.
-A clean class four driver’s licence

Job Summary
To develop, implement and maintain an effective and professional credit control system for the company.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review the company credit control procedure and develop and implement enhancements where required.
  • To manage the outstanding sales balances falling due and contact customers before the balances become overdue to confirm payments.
  • Set and monitor credit limits.
  • Assist in developing and implementing a Direct Debit payment system.
  • Where required initiate proceedings to ensure outstanding debts are bought to a satisfactory conclusion.
  • To keep the company up to date with new credit management procedures and techniques.
  • Perform debtor’s reconciliations on a monthly basis.
  • Manage the credit control staff (4) effectively.

Vacancy: Mining Engineer



Responsibilities:

  • Preparing plans for mines, for example tunnels and shafts for underground mines
  • Overseeing major construction projects and ensure that operations are functioning smoothly;
  • Monitoring activities underground;
  • Overseeing staff activities
  • Costing and scheduling supplies;
  • Overseeing the health and safety of the site, particularly in relation to issues such as ventilation;
  • Learning new skills as required, such as drilling and blasting;
  • Providing consultancy and advice on mining and mineral extraction projects;
  • Managing, planning, controlling and directing underground operations
  • Ensuring that set objectives and targets are achieved in a safe and healthy environment for both employees and equipment used
  • Ensuring that planned maintenance schedules are followed


Desired Personal Attributes:

  • Be able to take direction from intermediate and senior staff  to achieve goals
  • Very good planner and organiser
  • Accountable for completing task on time and budget
  • Possess a strong work ethic in a challenging environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Working knowledge of computers
  • Experience in mining narrow reef gold is very critical


Qualifications:
Should posses a degree in Geology or Mining and Mineral Engineering.
